Loneliness and social isolation is increasing. Increased use of digital technologies has widened the gap between those who can engage and those who cannot or do not want to resulting in the increased isolation of many older people.

Providers of older people’s housing play a key role in identify those who are or are at risk of being lonely and or socially isolated and developing appropriate digital engagement strategies.
