Fire Safety

A common issue raised by erosh members is fire safety in independent living/sheltered and retirement schemes, particularly in relation to correct approaches to fire information boxes, ‘stay put’ put policies, and communal areas.

Conflicting approaches lead to confusion and a perception that the landlord is imposing unnecessary rules. Local approaches will always vary but housing providers should be aware of good practice as well as their rights and responsibilities.
